I'm not sure what size tank I should get. I have three different stock ideas.i have a budget of about $1200

Number one

1-jardini arowana
1- electric blue jack Dempsey
6-clown loaches
1-green terror

Number two

2-peacockbass
1-jack Dempsey
1-green terror
2-oscars
And some type of catfish

Number three

2-oscars
1-peacock bass
1-managuense
1-Lima shovel nose
1-green terror
1- jack Dempsey

On that budget, none of these will work... You're looking at a 300 gallon minimum for any of these IMO.

Maybe if you're able to locate a huge tank on Craig's list those would work but paying store price for it prob not

IMO you need a 10 foot tank for the bass no way you can get one for 1200 dollars. The 1st stock list Is reasonable so is 3rd if you drop the peacock bass. you can make both work in an 8 foot 300 gallon.

FYI
Just bought a 180
Made stand
Made filter

Tank alone was about $1000 delivered !
A good pump will be about $150+

Add lights, sand, piping etc

My guess you'll need $2000 + for anything that huge

I can help you with filter

Here's a basic pic, there is about 12 gallons of bio balls

You can find 220 gallon tanks all the time here for like 600 bucks with filters and stands. You can get 300 gallons custom made where I live for 1000 just shop around you can find some good deals!

I can tell you that Jardini are not cheap by any means, and arrowanas (mainly silvers though) are know to be glass crackers when they get some length. The cheapest I've seen a Jardini was $90 and it was an absolute baby, like 2-3".
