So I just bought 180 lbs of salt water sand to mix with 40 lbs of regulate cichlid sand. I have washed the sand in a huge bin with the hose then I would drain it and repeat the process. I have now done this 5 or 6 times and I want to start cycling my new tank. Do you think it's safe or should I do more?
Thanks
Chris in Ca.

Only you can answer that question. If the sand doesn't produce any debris, you are good to go, if it does, you need to keep cleaning.

If you're curious, you could always get a salinity measuring device to ensure the salt quantity is nearly immeasurable once it's all in a tank. Also, that's a LOT of sand!
