Sex my venustus

Is my venustus a male or female?? He/she is around 3.5-4 inches now (9-10cm)

he looks about same size as mine, someone said there's didn't color up until 4.5 in. others say dark coloration on bottom fins could be indication it's male, just opinion. Only way to know for sure is venting, which I haven't attempted yet. I'm waiting too, hoping I have a male=)

Im leaning towards female. You should see a little blue coming in around the gill plates if its male at that size.

Oh yea there is a tiny bit of blue here and there on his/her gills and face... And alot on his/her body when he/she colours up just wasn't sure if females get blue too thanks for your help
