Tank Mate for Cichlids

Are there any fish that can live with cichlids besides other cichlids?

Yes. But it would help to know what the tank size is and its current inhabitants.

Well I have a 20 with a yellow lab and 2 other small african cichlids but I dont know what their called. And Im not going to add more fish im just wondering.

Do you plan to upgrade tanks eventually? Good tank mates would be synodontis catfish, rainbow sharks, and (arguably) bristle nose plecos. They say the plecos lose eyes to the africans. I have 2 plecos in w mine, one has been there a little over a year and the africans ignore her. (I know, a year isnt that long in the broad spectrum.) However i do have a synodontis that lost an eye to an african. All these fish (including the africans) require a larger tank. A 40b or 55 would be in a minimum. Can you post pics of the 2 you arent sure about?

Yeah. And yeah I plan on upgrading.
