I have a 46 bowfront that currently has 3 juv jacobfreibergi in it (I believe 2 females and a male but they are so young it's hard to tell). I was wondering what other african cichlids might work well in this tank. I was told that you couldn't have multiple types of peacocks but I keep seeing tanks made up of various types of peacocks.

Suggestions?

I don't recommend the majority of Malawi fish being kept in any tank under 4ft. but if your sticking to peacocks then stick with just that, stay away from any mbuna or haps.

So it is ok to have multiple types of peacocks? Good. Someone told me that it wasn't suggested but I really like peacocks.

Most people try for all male tanks since most females look very similar which is a drap colorless fish. If your breeding fish then it's advisable to have designated species tanks to remove the chance for hybrids, but yes mixing peacocks is fine.
