Whats wrong with my gudgeon!?

Fed them once today and its been a few hours.. All fish and snails are accounted for so i dont believe he has eaten anything. Any ideas? Thanks for helping!

Could be a bit bloated but my females looked similar when full of eggs.

The head looks too rounded to be a female, it looks male to me. Could be bloated, but I noticed a couple of lumps at the rear of his belly which says to me that he found something yummy.
