40 breeder reef

So work and life are getting busy so I am consolidating my 4 saltwater tanks down into a 40b to give myself a little bit of a break. So here it goes

Sorry to hear, but it happens. Definitely following on this one. I'm happy with the size and care requirements on my 40 breeder. The dimensions are great. Will you be doing a sump with it as well? And just curious why is the lights so hight? (temporary until coral and all?)

Yeah I really like the 40 breeders had 2 of them that I moved into the 125g but it is such a pain to work on and reach into if you want to move something. Yeah the light its just at that hight so it's easier to get into to place stuff

Gonna go sumpless and use a reef octopus bh-2000 skimmer for now

Garden eels? Lol, there are many options for you. Will the tank have a top or remain open?

There are some cool Dottybacks, blennies, basslets, and gobies you can go with. Clowns as well as others. No wrasses, dartfish, other jumpers though without a screen top. I made my own pretty cheap from Lowes for my 40 breeder.

Yeah thinking I might just bring my pair of black and white clowns over. I really like the look of the screen top you made looks much better than the white plastic light diffuser top

the only down fall on the screen top is if you have cats you can't keep them out, where white light defuser will keep them out ,

light defusers come in 3 colors by the way
Clear , White , and Chrome
Ive been wanting to redo mine with chrome
