Red slime has been a problem for six months of owning my tank. Finally decided to add a fuge and do a thorough cleaning. Very happy now that it is algae free (knock on wood). Tank is 5x2x2 (150 gallons) am all completely DIY. Plywood tank, homemade skimmer and fuge.

Tank mates are a dogface puffer, striped puffer, lionfish, Niger trigger, lunare wrasse, and a miniatus grouper.

Thats a lot of messy eaters I'd up grade the skimmer and water changes or that cyano may creep back The fuge will help a lot also. Nice fish :)

Sounds very cool loving fish choices. How do the two puffers get on as people say not to mix?
