Clowns pairing up?

Is there anyway to tell if my false clowns are pairing or are paired up?

What kind of behaviour are you talking about? Right now they have their moments of doing their own thing but are making sure the other is not to far. Is this the kind of behaviour you are talking about? I am just not sure.TIA :?

I have two pair of clowns a gold stripe maroon pair and a tomato clown pair. The "pairs" have been together for over 2 years. They always do what you are talking about, I thought I was getting close with the tomatos when they were "guarding" the filter intake, but that activity passed. I am sure mine are "Paired" but there have been no mating behaviors.
