Aquarium Advice Freak
I'm attempting to start a 110gal FOWLR set-up. After becoming aggravated with a wet/dry that I attempted to convert to a sump (just too small and not enough room) I've decided to try a DIY model. The only tank I have available is an old 20gal. I've never run a sump before so here are a few questions.
I'm confused about the placement of everything in the sump. I'm planning on a Remora Urchin Pro - in-sump skimmer. Should the skimmer take the water from the overflow first, then flow through a refugium chamber, then back to the tank?
Is a 20 gal sump big enough for a 110gal aquarium?
Can anyone point me to a link to help with a DIY sump with fuge and skimmer? Seems like an easy find but I can't track anything down to help me out.
Thanks as usual. Can't wait to get this thing started and post a few pics.
