I was at the LFS and picked up three good sized Blue legged hermit crabs. After I got home I was wondering, should I have QT'd them and not just did an acclim and put in the main tank?

I don't have any substance to add just wanted to say that this is a great question. Does the same go for other inverts (shrip, snails, crabs)

To be very honest, all new purchases should be quarantined. While te parasites and diseases our fish get aren't a problem for the hermits, there is the off change it could bring them into the display. I personally do not do it, I don't have the facilities to qt all new purchases, and I just stck to qting the fish.

I also think it theoriticially should be done.....but only Qt fish as well.
