I'm setting up a dosing pump for the first time and have a few questions. First off, I'm going to dose 2 part. My outlet tubing is about 3 feet long from my cabinet up to the sump/display tank above. I calibrated the pump as instructed using the 100ml method. After the calibration, I emptied the tubing and did a test. It was off a lot...So here is my dumb question. I'm assuming the liquid has to remain in the tubing at all times in order for the dose to be accurate. I calibrated again and this time, left the liquid in the tubing and tested. It was spot on. Next question. It won't hurt the tubing having what ever liquid you are dosing stay in it? Hope that all makes sense...

No, it won't hurt the tubing, just be aware that concentrated solutions full of minerals can create a clog, especially with calcium at the exit of the tubing.
