I picked up a few additional test kits for my cycling FOWLR aquarium.

Ammonia, and pH.

After coming home I realized both kits mention they are for freshwater aquariums. Now I know the kits would still be effective in a SW environment, however I don't know if the range of the kits is acceptable for SW.

The ammonia test kit has a range of 0.0 - 7.3mg/L
The pH test kit has a range of 6.0 - 7.6

thoughts?

PH probably won't do it for SW, unless your pH stays at 7.6.

Agree with roka (aka Scott :) ) that the pH won't work for you. With my API ammonia test kit, the kit itself works for both saltwater and freshwater, but you have to use a different color comparison card depending on if you're testing fresh or salt water.
