GPH return pump for 3ft reef

wanted you guys advise on a return pump question. I have been in the hobby for about 3 years now with a 10 gallon reef and i am finally getting myself a larger tank. The tank will be 36"L x 18"W x 12"H.... It will have an overflow with a sump filter system... It will be a large 4 compartment sump.

My question is... How many GPH should i be looking for in a return pump to give me the best filtration and circulation?

Most say match the flow though the sump to the skimmer ie: skimmer is rated at 1200 GPH thats what your return should be. I like a slower flow through the sump giving the skimmer and cheato more time to react with the water
For circulation i use power heads in the tank

Yeah i will also be running some mp10s in the tank... Thanks a bunch for the advise!
