Just got my heater and wanted to install it... I was wondering what the manufacturer means by "submersible" Can I place the entire unit under water? I want to place the heater horizontally at the bottom of the tank if possible. Thanks

If it is "submersible" than yes, you can fully submerse it. That is how most of us do it. Just thow it in the sump.

What heater do you have?

Yup. According to their website it is fully submersible. It may take you a few days to adust it correctly to your desired temperature but after that, just let it "live" underwater...
