Is it bad?

I found this on the backside of a rock as I put it into the seahorse
tank last night....is it something I need to get rid of? I know the picture is
less than grand, so I will try to describe it.

Looks like a white button polyp without the stem.

What does it do when destrubed?

I agree it looks like a white button polyp. Probably bleached from being in a low light area of the tank.

it folds the frills in and looks like an "O" ring.
