keeping barnacles alive?

I want to collect Barnacles from my house and would like to keep them alive in my tank. Do they need light?like a coral or more like a feather duster? Could I feed them zooplanton?

I've heard that they don't do well in tanks.

They are filter feeders, they filter the water with their feathery little grabber things (legs). So if you add a recommended amount of phytoplankton like DT's phyto or kents phyto they will be happy little guys.

I have a few on my rock and do ok.. then again it's only been a week !

I have a rouge mantis shrimp that destroys all the barnacle that came on the LR. :|
