Lightning Whelk

I'm an avid diver on the Gulf coast of Florida. Lightning whelks are all over the place. I've read some good and bad things when kept in an aquarium. I heard they are great for aerating sand beds. What are the pros and cons of this whelk being in a FOWLR?

I would be appt to say no. I did a little research and I don't think you would be able to keep the whelk feed. I would go with some species of conch instead. They are close to the same look and size but you can get plenty of food from your lfs for the conch
