Pods?

I hear people talking about "pods" all the time. What do they look like? Do they swim or what.

I know this maybe a dumb question but I'd sure like to know.

Small flea like "bugs" that crawl around. the term pods refers to copepods, or isopods, certain kinds are harmless while others are fish parasites that can become a problem.

Munnid isopods are harmless algae eaters.

Certain ones can kill your fish!

If it curls, i believe it is safe.
 
And another link to copepods, but if you see that look like the one below, get it/them out of the tank. Those are parasitic cirolanid isopocds.
