Power issues

I am picking up my new 130G aquarium in the next couple days but have a concern about my apartment. My complex has a strange tendency to loose power. I really dont want this to happen with the aquarium. I need some help on what steps to take to make sure I will be ok. My power is usually off for about 1-2 hours when it happens.

Of all the items using power what would be crucial to protect the kids?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

In my case I put one Powerhead and a heater on an APCC UPS. I tested the Powerhead on battery only and got 5 1/2 hours of run time. I also have a battery run air pump/air stone just in case it gets worse than that.
