Protein skimmer

My skimmer a year and a half old but it doesn't seem to be skimming very well any more has to be flat out to get the bubbles half way up the cone any tips

Hi a little more info on what type of skimmer may help with some one answering your query? It may just need a good clean? Or perhaps their isn't much protein in the tank?

It's a v2 protein skimmer from tmc nothing special tryed to clean it but didn't make any differents

Hi, I think I have the same skimmer, it's for tanks up to 200l? I don't think their the best skimmers to be honest, mine is so loud still and can take up to 3 days to fill the cup, even with the thing set to fully open but I dont use a sump so I think it's the best that's available? Sorry I couldn't be more help

No there for tanks up to 400 l unless you going by the doubling up rule
