Qt tank

10 gallon qt tank, Can i take 5 gallons out of main tank and 5 new gallons of ro water. Will this work? Can i put fish in tank or should i wait ?

As long as the 5 gal of RO water is salted to the proper SG first yes.

You can put fish in the QT tank once the temperature and SG have stablized in it.

imo i would use all tank water for the qt and add the new water to your tank !!
