Question about Powerheads and snails/fish

So I have a question about my powerheads specifically. I have two korallia 3s and a maxi jet 1200. I have flow directors/channelers on the korallias. I think it would help greatly to broaden the flow of the korallias by removing the director pieces I put on. I at least would like to try but I dont want snails or whatever else getting in the powerheads. Anyone ever had a problem. I notice in pics that others have the stock korallias with no flow diverter on them. What are your thoughts.

I don't have flow diverters and my snails/urchins don't get stuck on them or harmed by them.

My snails have crawled everywhere there is to crawl on a Koralia (input and output) and never had any issues.

I have never had a problem with a snail getting caught in my powerhead.
