So I've been trying to get my refugium under control and I have been struggling big time lol, I currently have chaeto and caulerpa macro algae in my refugium and the caulerpa is doing ok but the chaeto keeps dying. I don't know what else to do, the only thing growing in my fug is cynobacteria and caulerpa. The chaeto keeps turning white and milky, how can I get my refugium up to a healthy state should I turn the lights off during the day

I've noticed with cheato if you don't turn it regularly it turns white from either to much light on the top for too long of a period or white on the bottom from not enough light. So try turning it twice a week. Also if it gets to dense it suffers also. So if you have a big ball of it rip it in half and give it to your lfs, they might reward you. Mine grows pretty quick.
