I've finally got the refugium all set up. It takes up about 60% of my 28 gal sump.

So far I have added: 3 - Magcro algaes
3 - hard shell clams
4 -bristle worms
4 - spagetti worms
10 - Mico stars
10 - tiny Nassariss snails
200 - Pods that were so small they couldn't be seen

Now it's time to adjust the 24 watt 50/50 light. I am setting the timer so that the light will go on at night and off in the day. How many hours should the light be on for?

Any other suggestions on my first fuge?

Very good read on macros.

To answer your question, I put in Red Gracilaria - Brown Gracilaria - Green Grape Caulerpa.

I think I'll yank the Green Grape Caulerpa out and replace it with the Cheato that I intended to add last. I try to avoid headachs. :>)

That`s up to you but like I said it can be kept under control with prunning and 24/7 lighting.

although chaeto is a safer route to go, the caulerpa's are a much better nutrient export. Like Mike said, it can be kept very manageable with pruning and a 24/7 light schedule.
