specks of algae

little specks of light green algae has starrted to grow on the glass of my tank. ive tried scrubbing at it to clean it off, but it wont come off. does anyone know what kind of algae this is and what i can do to get it off my glass?

Do you use a mag cleaner? if so use a scraper not a mag cleaner

I've had that stuff before. If I'm not mistaken, your tank has been set up for a while and probably nice and cycled, right? I'm not quite sure what kind of algae it is but it's a real pain. Just do what swissfish said, and get yourself a a good scrubber pad. It will go away eventually.
