Would like to upgrade my lighting on my 60g FOWLR so I can put some corals in my tank. Would like to spend no more than $300 anyone have any suggestions. I have just your standard one bulb light fixture in there now.

What kind of corals are you looking at keeping, and what is the length and depth of the tank? Try figuring out what kinds of corals you want to keep first, then try and buy light to suit them. Most everything is fine under PC lights (if there is enough of them) besides some sps and clam species. If you have a particularly deep tank or wish to keep sps corals and clams, I'd look into Metal Halide or a number of HO T5 bulbs.

I`d check into VHO lights or PC lights for that price. I have VHO . Check my gallery to see the type of corals you would be able to keep.

I prefer VHO over PC. They are both used successfully, but VHO have better color IMO. They are more aesthetically pleasing.
