Want a gobie pistol shrimp couple but need small gobie

Is there a gobie that will have a symbiotic relationship with a (to be found later) pistol shrimp that is less than 2.5"? I have a very small tank and this paring would be the centerpiece. But I can only pull off if the gobie is small.
Any suggestions?

Yellow watchmans only get to 3". Not sure of anything smaller. How small is your tank?

Yes, I know, lots of extra work, setting myself up to fail, etc, etc... sigh
That is why I am taking things slow and doing carefull research with an eye to keep everyone (including myself) healthy.

I've seen smaller tanks done successfully. Liveaquaria.com has a couple 2" shrimp gobies. One is a Hi Fin Red Banded Goby and one is called a Tangaroa Goby. Here's the link for you to check them out. Both are very cool. Good luck.

High fin red-banded. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/p...cfm?pCatId=181

Had two at one time. One shared the lookout post with my yellow watchman peacefully. Very small (maybe 2" max), but they had to go. Often found them in my overflow.
