I have this really cool long flowing polyp of some sort. Placed it next to a rock. One of the "arms" has split off the frag and is now stuck to the rock? Is this what they do? Is this how they propagate?

Yes, this is how they will propagate. Does it look like this?

Somewhat, yes more arms....is really nice looking when the lights are on. As are with most I suppose.

sounds like you have some xenia, good choice. yes this is what they do, and FAST at that

nice piece there jimbo!

haha, its not mine, its google's.
I used to have entire forests of the stuff though, was rampant across the whole one side of my 90. Completely mesmerizing when it was all pulsing.

either way, still nice

but that sounds like exactly what i want, but all over the rock, except on my zoas =]

don't tell it not to go somewhere or else that is where it will go.

xenia will creep up to teh light in the direction of flow.
