I have a reading of .25 ammonia, just wanted to know if this is enough to stress the fish?

Temp 81
PH 7.2
Ammonia .25

The fish seem to be stressed out, I have green severums and they are constantly 1 color, almost gold. My friend has a tank with severums as well and they always change color.

My severums stick to the bottom of the tank on 1 side

I think its anything higher than that you have to worry about. Do a partial water change and keep an eye on it.

0.25 can irritate the gills enough to cause damage. it just depends on the fish. if you think your severums are stressed, they probably are. do a 50% water change.

Will do, i will check levels when i get home from work, I will keep you guys informed. Thanks
