Can Echinodorus tenellus be trimmed to height or do the longest leaves simply need to be pulled? tia

one more thing.... will E. tenellus do ok in 2" of eco-complete or does it -absolutely- need something deeper?

Tenellus has fairly shallow roots and does not need a deep substrate. Yes it can be trimmed simply by cutting the leaves, just like mowing your lawn.
