ac filter question

need advice on what to put between sponge and ceramic rings in my ac filters to polish water further. something that i could rinse out and not have to throw away.

I just use 2 of the sponges.

I use pillow batting

I use pillow batting too. It's cheap and doesn't matter that you throw it away because it is so cheap.
