One of my female lwanda was attacked yesterday, didn't see the attack so don't know who is the aggressor. I noticed the bite mark and put her into QT with some melafix. Unfortunately the bite must have pierced her swim bladder as she was having difficulty swimming shortly thereafter. The QT is cycled as the filter runs on another tank when not on the QT. Today I came home and the poor thing had passed. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly things change. She had been in the tank for 6 months with no trouble. RIP little girl.

I'm sorry to hear that. I have lost a few cichlids that way. Everything is fine one day and the next one has been targetted :(

It probably seems strange to some people that we would mourn our fish. But if you are like me, they are not just fish, they are my pets. I am so sorry for your loss.
