I saw one of these at Petsmart and was wondering if anybody has tried them? I would be leery as to how it works, but it is an interesting concept.

They work, but they are fairly short-lived and relatively inaccurate. Better than nothing, but not nearly as good as liquid reagent testing.

a stable and balanced tank really shouldnt need a indicator like that even if it did work well. if you dont over feed take out any dead fish right away and not kill off the bacteria in your filter you really should be fine though.

Yeah, I was just wondering the accuracy of these things really. I wouldn't trust something like that, I'll stick to the API liquid :D
