API FW Master Test Kit

Just upgraded to the master kit from the strips. As I tested my Ph levels, the low Ph was 7.6 and high range was 8.2 Should I conclude that it's somewhere in between? If so, that's a very broad range. How do I read this?

If it is coming at 7.6 (the highest that one tests) then you should go with the high range test. So, I would say your water is 8.2.

Whenever you are at the maximum of a particular indicator's scale, you should move to the next one up to get a more precise answer.

No, it's not dumb at all! I'm a chem major and it's one of those things you go over. I would have probably asked the same thing in your shoes.
