Aquascaping my discus tank

Well, I finally got my discus. I bought five from a guy off craigslist for $35 each. The smallest being 4", the largest is full grown. Unsure of the breeds, but they are gorgeous. My question is, what should I add to the aquascape. I want it heavily planted, a val of sorts covering the back, and dwarf sag carpeting. I have a corner designated for the Madagascar lace plant I will attempt. Give me some ideas. The driftwood is two pieces overlapped to look like one.
