My plecos had babys i just found wondering how should i clean the gravel where they hide in without killing them cause i heard its rare for them to breed so 1 its cool to me 2 it also be cool to have a fish from literally when it started as a egg opposed to a fish store. Although my local one is great. Nahackys melbourne fl:fish2:

If you want to leave them in that tank with the gravel there really is no way to do it other than being careful. Just use a small siphon and a bucket so if you do suck one up you can add it back to the tank.

Congrats on the fry!

If possible I wouldn't clean the gravel until they get alittle bigger. Sucking them up accidently could be too much for hatchlings. You could try but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I know it doesn't seem like it but there are little micro organisms that live in your gravel that those fry will eat after their yolk sac is absorbed. Btw what kind of plec did you breed?
Congrats.
