Best way to remove stick on thermometer?

Hi everyone

My tank was second hand, and came with one of those black strip thermometers stuck to the outside glass. Well I didn't like it very much so ripped it off the other day when I got round to buying a glass one that sticks on with a suction cup. I've managed to peel off most of the original thermometer but I'm left with this horribly sticky glue which will not budge. Anyone got any good ideas of how to get rid of it?

Yup, razor blade, and peanut butter to remove excess glue.

Peanut butter? What do you do with it?

Vinegar. Damp a rag and rub it in, let it sit awhile. Them roll off the glue with your fingers.

Rub the peanut butter on the glue that stays on the glass with a rag or paper towel. The oil in the peanut butter takes the glue off.
