i just purchased bloodworms my fish didnt touch them they dug their way into the sand at bottom of my tank. can i leave them there or what should i do?

Vacuum them out. Bloodworms can cause water quality issues as well as a lot of other frozen foods. If you want them to eat it just fast them, or try with krill or beef hearts. Not brine shrimp unless the fish are less then 4'' or have a small mouth.

That's interesting about brine shrimp and fish smaller than 4". Why is that?

The usual brine shrimp is very small. I used an estimation as that to say it works better with smaller fish. Although you can feed it to larger species, something more consistent is better, if not freeze dried is an option.
