Changing substrate in a cycled tank

Hi guys,

I'm planning on changing the substrate of my tanks. I just want to change the gravel substrate for a different color. I'm sticking to gravel. What would be the best way to do it? if I replace all the substrate, I think the tank will loose a lot of beneficial bacteria as well, correct?

What do you suggest?

Yes i agree. If you swap substrate it will probably cause a mini cycle. As long as you already have proper filtration that is already established then just do your pwc's more aggressively and test daily
