Cooling Fish Tanks

So I have a 55G fish tank with several cichlids. I have noticed that the water temperatures have been rising to the upper limits of their temperature range. I have completely disconnected my heater. I have also been adding ice which means that I have to constantly treat the water to remove the chlorides. Does anybody have an effective system to cool the water that doesnt involve ice?

You could get a chiller. While you're having to ice it, I'd suggest putting it in a bag and float it, rather than putting ice directly into the tank.

A fan blowing across the top of the tank can help cool the tank as well.
