Cycling Question

Sorry i know these have been asked over and over again.

I am working on a 55g planted community that i filled on last Thrusday, for cycle i used 4 filter sponges from my canister on my 90g which has been running for 6 months. My readings are as followed

Ph 7.6
Ammonia .50
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10
I guess i am asking is my cycle over even though i still have ammonia ?

Not completely... Ammonia should get to "0".

The NitrAte readings indicate you do have ALL the proper bacteria in place though... but they just need to multiply a bit more. (give it just a couple more days probably.)

Alright tanks, just did a 25 % wc and ammonia dropped to between 0 and .25

What are you using as your ammonia source? Fish?
As others have said you need to get the ammonia to 0 not .25
