I purchased a female Dalmatian Platy about 6 months ago. She's been relatively healthy, aside from having a minor case of ick about 2-3 months ago (been treated). She was pregnant when I bought her, and the fry is doing very well considering it was her only fry.
I chose her specifically because she had a lot of spots, however, in the short time that I've had her she's turned completely black.

Is this a normal process due to aging, or could she be sick?

I tried searching this on google, but I couldn't find anything...

I've been raising fish 30 years and lots of mollys down the road and never heard anything like that. I would say if she is behaving nornally she should be fine.

What is the salt level in the water? Just curious. Are the fry dalmation?

PH is around 7.2 and temp is usually 76, give or take a few degrees. I rarely add any salt to the water. All the fish seem to be healthy, and I've had about 6-7 sets of fry between 3 females.

The Dalmatian Platy had only one fry, and it's spotted.
