I have one of the MarlineLane 56G tanks(tall). It has been up and running 3 years and is now rather heavily planted. I have lost some fish over the years and am thinking I could add a few back now to restock but hoping for variety.

I have

2 turquoise rainbows
2 parkinsons rainbows
5 serpae tetras
2 red eye tetras
2 black neons
1 Bolivian Ram
1 bristlenose pleco
(some irritating snails i picked up along the way probably from cheap petsmart plants)

prefer some lively or colorful fish.

pictus catfish are v cute, also ghost knife fish, make sure to get young so he does not attack

Pictus would not be a good mix with those other fish, and ghost knife fish get big and eat small fish.

I'd up the numbers of some of your schooling fish, then look at guppies (very lively and colorful) cories are pretty neat in groups.

Or you could do a bunch of female bettas, minus the guppies.

Was hoping to go with something different rather than reboosting the red eye and black neon community. The batch we got have, for lack of a better term, been boring. Looking for fish that move around and have some decent coloration as well.
