filtration question with betta

I am wondering if my top fin 10 in a 5.5 gallon is too powerful water flow for my betta. Best case scenario I guess he gets plenty of exercise and I feed him well and he gets big and strong. I'm just wondering what kind of symptoms I should watch out for relating to fatigue. How would I know?

Laying on the bottom of the tank, not moving much, that sort of thing. I bet you could find someone to trade you a 5 gallon pump for the 10 gallon pump, I mean, I'd take that deal!

It should be fine. I run a canister rated for 30g on my 10g tank.
