I have a cabinet in my bathroom dedicated to all fish emergency items which includes medicines, heaters, spare tanks, filters, and water conditioner. 
Some in cabinet under tank and some in laundry - pretty much anywhere cool, out of light and tucked away.
Ferts have taken over the drawers in the book cases on either side of tank.

I got a tote made for cleaning supplies that I use at least weekly-ish. Our 10 gallon, which is the QT, holds all of the QT stuff. Water change stuff is in a 5 gallon bucket. All of this is under the tanks, and I made a curtain for the tank that has the CO2 under it.
