I have one that is empty. What should I do with it. What kind of fish should I get?????
 
Is that the one that has no top? The only fish that should really go in a 6 gallon is a betta, but not without a top. Some shrimp or snails could go in there.

One square foot wide and long, and I think it's like 16 inches tall

Yeah, my nerite snail escaped and dried out and died... But they have a top for it now.
 
Well I am looking into gettin some nano fish. I want a small group of something and some low light plants
 
If you got the hood for it, a betta would be great. Maybe some javaferns or java moss. Bettas go great with real plants.

I had a hood that I thought was secure, and my betta, KE$HA jumped. I ended up taping paper over the tiny little holes. Seeing a crusty betta scars you for life...
