Generic or Brand Name?

I want to get some ceramic rings for my rena xp3. The brand name ones cost upwards of $20. Found some other aquarium ceramic rings that cost $1-$5

Do I really need to pay $20 for Rena ceramic rings?!?!

Nope they will all do the job. Surface area for bacteria growth.
