1. Will ghost shrimp take care of algae?

2. If so, will one or two be okay in a 2 gal tank with one male fancy guppy?

3. If the answer is no to either question, what would you recommend as a good algae-eating/clean-up fish for this set up? (2 gal, one male fancy guppy, brackish water, little algae as of yet. )

Thanks!

No ghost shrimp will not take care of algae. One ghost shrimp in a two gallon should be ok. As far as algae goes in a 2 gallon, it might be the easiest or atleast the most humane thing to just scrub it yourself. This is just my own opinion though.

lol, nacho. good name.

i'd scrub it yourself. with 2 gal, there's not much surface area. besides, it depens on what kind of algae it is

You could get Amano shrimp, as they are great algae eaters (at least for me) but you actually need quite a few of them to do a good job, like 3-4. I like shrimp just as another fun creature to watch, and they would be fine with a guppy.

A small snail or two would help keep a 2 gal clean so long as you have a lid to prevent escapes.
