i was feeding my gouramis when i noticed a blue streeak from his eye down to his dorsil fins. in another post it said that that might mean breeding. the streaked at first glace looked like a huge bruise.

if my gourami is ready to breed what should i do? i read that i should lower my water down to 6-8 inches, seems reletively low. is this true/false. help :D

also, gouramis make bubble nests. should i turn off my bubble maker? it seems to move the water a lot and im afraid it'll destroy the nest. one more thing. i have 2 males, only one seems to be in the breeding mode. should i remove the other male?

If they start nipping each other a lot or fighting then they should be seperated. If there is a pair then they should be kept alone until the female releases the eggs, then the male should be kept with the eggs and no one else.
